I agree with the author. The cultural shift from "pagan" belief systems into christianity really messed with the moral standards of that time. It hasnt really stabilized since, due to a lack of truly (and intellectually) effective moral leadership. People (particularly males) are still abusing the honest beliefs of christians for personal gain. Its a great modern tragedy.

Where does it say in the Bible that it is wrong to masterbate & just look at images or videos of nude women or sexual activity? They are just images & not real women that you lust after. You can masturbate to avoid worse sins like fornication, adultery, homosexual relationships, etc. to relieve your passion., especially if it's not the right time to marry.

THIS IS ALL FROM AN OPEN MINDED, AND WELL STUDIED GUY THAT JUST WANTS PEOPLE TO SEE THIS AS IT IS.

To make a note before I begin, I'm a christian guy, and have been addicted to porn in the past.

Lets begin with misconceptions. The bible is silent on self pleasure. Those people above who have claimed that it either allows or disallows it have read too far into passages that do not cover the subject. However, the bible is very clear on letting things come between God and yourself. (1st Commandment: "Thou shalt not put any idol before me").

To respond to Greg, no, doing crack is not a sin.. unless.. A) it harms your body:

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 ESV
"Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple." (aka, people who abuse crack to an extent that it actually injures the body have sinned [generally crack users are addicts due to the extensively strong addictive nature of the drug which causes certain health violations and risks])

And B) if it is an addiction: which as said is very common due to the addictive nature of the drug crack actually pulls you away from god by turning a desire into a "necessity" causing you to put that as a false god before Him.

Now, on the subject of self pleasure, let it be stated that in no way is that act in and of itself written out to be a sin in the bible. However, this becomes a sin when A) it becomes an addiction: on this point, not all people are addicted to masturbation, and so can be avoided, however, it can very easily slip into one's life as a "necessity" rather then just genuine release, and at that point it is putting an idol between yourself and God.

And it also can cause sin through B) lusting after others. the verse is clearly stated in about 4 posts already, that lusting after a woman or man that you are not married to is considered as the sin of adultery (in marriage) or fornication (out of marriage). It is also possible to give oneself pleasure and release without fantasizing about someone that you are not married to, but here's where porn comes in.

ENTER porn's issue, stage right:
porn naturally causes a desire for the woman or man that one sees in it. There are, I'm sure, a few who genuinely don't think of the people they are looking directly at on the computer screen, however I believe that when most of us look at porn, we are looking and thinking on it. This is where violation of point B comes to hand. That is sin, and for that being sin, you should eliminate causes of sin as best you can in your life. Additionally porn combined with self pleasure has a much more addictive quality than self pleasure on it's own. That addictive quality can, but does not always lead to addiction creating an idol (which violates point A).

It is my personal opinion, that masturbation is natural, and that self release can actually prevent sin, but it is clear that porn causes sin for all but the most resilient people that look at it, and for that reason there cannot be christian porn. A more interesting and less spoken upon subject (because it does not have such a simple argument as the one above), is: is fantasizing about fictional characters through stories or cartoon porn a sin? Can one fornicate with something that is fictional?

p.s. It is a valiant attempt at creating a way for release, but in the end, christian porn just can't happen.

Hello Sam:

You make an interesting reading! Tell me, you mean Angels come to have sex with you? Do you consider it okay?

Please, could you one of these days get a good, explicit picture of your wife (If you are married)on the net for all to view?

Have you ever heard of spiritual pairing or spiritual sexual infection?

You know the truth in your heart.

God loves you dearly because He has a wonderful plan for you. Do discover it!

Reply to Greg:
Ha! Abstinence is what causes all those Priests, Ministers and Evangelalists to 'harm the children'. The Pope even told his Churchmen not to do that: "Zero tollerance". But, it's been ignored and crimes against children, especially, have gone on because anytime there's a forbiding of a natural act there are perverted repercussions. Priest's Daughters are the first ones to run away from their Father's inhibiting restaints of sexuality.
You have to face it. We're God's sexual creatures. You should revel in the wonder and beauty of that, not condem openminded Christians to be cast out from the Throne of God. Are you the one that casts the first stone?
ps .....Angels have sex all the time. They've come to me in my dreams!

This website is a tragic stumbling block to reaching the unsaved. We are all born of a sinful nature and thus, it is NATURAL to have these sexual feelings. However, the Bible commands that we put away our old sinful nature and that our unregenerate old person dies once we receive Christ as our Savior. We are to be holy as He is holy. Though we will still struggle to control our human nature, we are commanded to flee from it(sin).

Paul said that he would be everything to everyone in order to spread the gospel of Christ. This does NOT mean we, as Christians, accept the sexual immorality of the world in order to be on a "level playing field" to reach the unsaved. It means the opposite: that he, Paul, would gladly give up whatever he needed to NOT OFFEND those around him, i.e., drinking wine, etc. The comments on this website are designed to make people feel good about their sins instead of getting them to repent.

I believe we are all sinners, and am not being judgemental about anyone struggling with sexuality. We are, however, called to be DIFFERENT from the world, lights in the darkness. We are to abstain from the lusts of the flesh, not explain them into oblivion. Sin is sin. No amount of psycho-babble makes it okay.

Christ died for sinners, that we may have eternal life with him. We are, therefore, to fight against our human, sinful nature, which includes masturbation, pre-marital sex, etc. Is sex a sin? No, as long as it is in the Biblical confines of marriage. It is wrong and sinful to carryout these acts outside of marriage and the Bible is clear on this.

Paul rebukes the pagan temples throughout Asian
Minor because of their use of temple prostitutes. While, I understand that this website is not suggesting prostitution is ok, it is similar in the fact that it is promoting self pleasure over the things of a Holy God.

Your explanation that it must be okay to promote such practices because the Bible is supposedly silent on the matter is ridiculous. Does the Bible say explicitly that smoking crack is ok? No, it doesn't. Does that mean it is ok? No. After all, people who do drugs are meerly trying to gain a sense of natural pleasure, to fill something in their lives as well, right? Perhaps that could be the topic of your next website.

Though I do not know the contents of anyone's heart except my own, I firmly believe those who agree with the contents of this website are being misled. God does not require that we just do our best, He requires that we be holy. If He could send His only Son to die for a bunch of sinners like us, than why is it too much to ask that we refrain from purposly sinning? This doesn't mean we will never struggle with sins of the flesh, just that we should not continue to live in that sin. My concern is that those of you who confess to be believers and agree with the message of this website will one day come before the throne of God, only to be told "Depart from me, I never knew you."

You are on the right path now! What a wonderful job you are doing against so many protests! Do Christians who oppose your efforts really think that they are different in their natual and physical bodies than non-Christians. Represion of one's own human desires is the root of all that is UNnatural! I think you're representation of human sexuality is wonderful. Your fresh approach to many of the problems with Christian repression of sexuality is commendable. When I saw your first set of pictures I did not feel that I was viewing porn; only the natural curiosity of a young woman. I hope you will pursue this breakthrough in your way of expressing clean Christian openminedness. And, furthermore, you're not advocating pre-marital sex, but some of the comments here seem to jump to that conclusion. To see something other than what is there is in the mind of the beholder. ...and that's the real sin (for those people).
